(October 26, 2026) Treaty 6, Maskwacis Cree Territory: Congratulations to Tical Rowan, Randolph Morin, Gregory Large, Antoine Saddleback and Shaun Johnson on completing the Firetack Leadership Development Program in Hinton, Alberta.
The program took place over two intensive sessions: September 21–29 and October 14–22, 2026. The first session covered leadership and supervision, fire behaviour, crew preparedness, fireline safety, navigation, ground ignition, air operations and fireline operations, along with other areas of wildfire operations.
With these five completing the program, Elements Firetack now has 12 trained Strike Team Leaders. This milestone puts our vision of Professional Wildland Firefighters into practice and supports our mission: Ready to Excel in any Situation Encountered.
Training, mentorship and opportunities to take on more responsibility are how we turn those words into action. By developing leaders from within, we give our people room to grow while uilding a team better prepared for the demands of wildfire operations.
We are proud to celebrate this accomplishment with Tical, Randolph, Gregory, Antoine and Shaun. Congratulations to all five on this next step in their wildfire careers.
