Elements Firetack Inc. provides professional wildfire response and hazard mitigation services across Alberta’s forested landscapes. We support Alberta Wildfire with trained crews and experienced leadership built for demanding conditions.

Proven in the field
Since incorporating in 2020, Elements Firetack has steadily built its operational capacity, workforce and leadership experience in Alberta’s wildfire environment.
Successfully secured two Fort McMurray base-crew contracts through Alberta Wildfire’s competitive procurement process in 2026, demonstrating Elements Firetack’s growing operational capacity and ability to compete for major wildfire service contracts.
Grew from one secondary 8-person crew to five 8-person base crews in six years. Base Crews in Edson, Rocky Mountain House and Fort McMurray.
Provides seasonal employment for 64 wildfire professionals. 40 on base crews and 24 on secondary crews.
COR Certified, supported by established safety systems and a strong safety record.
Built experienced Incident Command System leadership capacity, including qualified Strike Team Leaders within our base crews. 11 Strike Team Leaders and 31 Firetack Crew Leaders
Developed a strong chainsaw training program, with approximately 90% of our workforce certified as Buckers or Fallers. 38 CAGC L1 Buckers and 33 WTA L3 Fallers.
Successfully expanded our field operations into vegetation management, applying the safety, leadership and operational discipline developed through wildfire response.
100% Indigenous-owned and privately held, with our roots in Maskwacis, Treaty 6 Territory.
Indigenous Partnerships
Elements Firetack is committed to building meaningful partnerships with Indigenous Nations and communities. We seek opportunities to collaborate on wildfire, vegetation management and FireSmart projects while supporting local employment, training and economic participation within traditional territories.
Leadership Development
We develop our people from within. From rookies entering their first wildfire season to experienced team members advancing into leadership roles, we create opportunities to learn, grow and take on greater responsibility. Through hands-on training and mentorship from experienced team members, Fallers and Leaders, our people develop the skills and field experience needed to progress toward Crew Leader and Strike Team Leader roles.

Vegetation Management
Professional crews for brushing, vegetation clearing, fuel management and related field projects. We bring the safety culture, leadership and operational discipline developed through wildfire response to every project.
FireSmart and Wildfire Mitigation
Proactive vegetation and fuel-reduction services that help Indigenous communities, municipalities, industry and other organizations reduce wildfire risk and strengthen resilience.

Safety is fundamental to how we operate. As a COR Certified contractor, Elements maintains established safety systems, trained personnel and operational standards designed to protect our people, our partners and the communities where we work.

Wildfire response is where Elements Firetack built its foundation. It has shaped our safety culture, developed our leaders and taught our teams how to perform in demanding environments.
As we look toward 2027, we are building on that experience and expanding our capabilities beyond wildfire response. Through vegetation management, FireSmart and wildfire mitigation projects, we are creating opportunities to put our people, equipment and field experience to work throughout more of the year.
